Privacy & cookies
Last updated: 10 October 2026
This page explains what information Brew & Brain collects, why, and the choices you have. We follow the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
Who we are
Brew & Brain is run by an individual based in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
- Quiz answers and scores. These stay in your own browser. Your best scores are saved on your device so you can see them next time. We never receive them.
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply.
- Advertising and analytics data. Our advertising partners may collect information such as your IP address, device type and the pages you visit, using cookies and similar technologies. See below.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to show adverts. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners show you ads based on those visits.
When you first visit from the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, you’ll be asked whether you agree to personalised advertising. You can change your choice at any time using the privacy settings link shown at the bottom of the page. If you say no, you may still see non-personalised ads, which use cookies for things like frequency capping and fraud prevention.
You can also turn off personalised ads in Google’s Ad Settings, and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors in the United States can opt out of many third-party vendors at aboutads.info.
Fonts
Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and shares your IP address with them.
Our legal basis
We rely on your consent for advertising cookies, and on our legitimate interest in running and securing the site for everything else.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how we use it. Email us to make a request. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This site is intended for a general audience and isn’t aimed at children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
